300hp vs. 350hp in the 327.

I'm in the market for a 65-67 small block Corvette and was wondering if there's much difference between the 300 and 350 hp? Is the 350 hp that much more desireable? Does it run better? Is it that much more powerful? Louder? Should I even be concerned about the horsepower? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
