Just bought my first Corvette a 1975 and am needing to replace both bumpers. I have looked at the TruFlex bumpers but need to know about the retainers. It appears that you can purchse a kit with 18 bumper retainer pieces or you can purchase the bumper retainer covers of which there are 4 different ones for the rear.
If anyone has done this would you please advise which was works best as the 18 pieces for the rear are 29.95 and the 4 retainers are $88.00.
If you have done the replacement let me know which worked for you.

Also the same with the front bumper which is a little more difficult to work with from what I have seen.
